Delivery

Meal portions, does it feed 1 or 2 persons?

Our meals are made with the intention of feeding one, but a generous one as we know postpartum parents’ appetite changes to receive the recommended extra 500-800calories needed to produce human milk. Plus many parents who have ordered mentioned they shared with their toddler easily - that is, if you want to share.

We also have the option of adding family members to your order to receive the same meals at a discount.

What is the deadline to order + when do I receive my order?

Deadline to order for the week’s options are Monday, Wednesday and Friday by 9PM.

Orders received Saturday through Monday 9pm will be delivered/ready for pick up on Wednesdays. Orders received Tuesday and Wednesday by 9pm will be ready for delivery/pick up on Fridays. And orders placed by Friday 9pm will be ready for delivery on Monday.

Where do I pick-up?

Pick-up orders are on Wednesdays/Thursdays/Fridays from 12pm to 4pm at Nikkolette’s Macarons in the West Metro at 3425 Highway 169N, Plymouth, MN 55441.

Where do you deliver?

Currently, we deliver throughout the Twin Cities metro area. Please contact us if you live outside the metro and would like to learn if we can deliver to you.

How does delivery work?

All deliveries of fresh foods are delivered through a courier service, Street Fleet. They are dispatched at 9am in the morming to begin deliveries and deliver all fresh food by 4pm. All bags without a frozen soup to keep other food cold will be packed with ice packs to wnsure freshness. When weather is above 40F degree, we ask that you place a large cooler (enough to fit 2 grocery bags) outside your door to ensure your items stay cool and safe. Please have the cooler to be in a visible, safe area.

For shipped items, we ship all treats Monday- Wednesday through USPS 2-day priority mail. We will not ship treats out on Thursdays and Fridays to diminish the chance of the order stuck at a facility center over the weekend.

Do I need to be home for my delivery? Will my package be safe?

You do not need to be home to receive your delivery but we recommend moving the meals to the fridge as soon as you are able to ensure the best quality. We will confirm delivery by text and we will NOT knock or ring your doorbell, unless we are instructed to do so. After delivery, we are not responsible for any stolen items. Once the food is delivered we are not responsible for any food spoilage.

Our drivers photograph where each each bag is left so we can ensure accurate delivery. At check out, please specify delivery instructions (access code, safe location to leave the bag, etc.) in the notes section.

What does delivery cost?

The cost will vary based on the set of prices set forth from our courier service, Street Fleet. The closer your location is to our commercial kitchen at Nikkolette's Macarons, delivery will be around $10. While the further out locations from our kitchen can be $20+.

Enter your zip code during check out to learn more about the delivery fee to your location.

General

Can I order if I'm not pregnant or newly postpartum?

Yes! Our meals are vitalizing and nutritious at every stage of your journey. Enjoy our food if you are recovering from an illness, feeling uninspired to cook for yourself, or a healthy option for a family meal. Partners, older siblings/children, grandparents and support people also love to be fed by Hola Postpartum. Order for your support village too!

Do you accommodate food allergies and/or special requests?

We cannot accommodate allergies. Due to working in a shared commercial kitchen with other businesses, we are unable to meet strict allergy requests.

Please inform us of your dietary restrictions (i.e. vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-friendly, etc.) when you check out and we will do our best to accommodate your needs or offer an alternative. Please note we can only be gluten-friendly and not 100% gluten-free, due to shared kitchen space with other makers. With all our meals we strive to be gluten-friendly, preservative-free, and use organic, pasture-raised protein (beef, chicken, eggs) when possible. We can easily eliminate dairy from any meal option when requested.

Are the meals + snacks safe for my unborn baby and when I am breastfeeding/lactating?

Yes, we specifically curated our dishes with ingredients beneficial to pregnant women, mothers who are breastfeeding/pumping and women who are recovering from childbirth (regardless of lactating or not).

Will Hola Postpartum meals help me lose my post-pregnancy weight?

We are not a weight lost program/service. Our main goal is to support you and your recovering body from its journey into motherhood by serving you nutrient-dense, whole food meals. We believe in loving your body through each stage and new changes you go through in this journey. And remember, you need some body fat to produce healthy milk for your baby.

Is it true Hola Postpartum energetically bless the food? What?

Yes! We create and cook the food with love and then bless it on the way out. We believe this helps give you the best healing, rejuvenating experience through these early weeks/months of motherhood.

How do I reheat my meals?

There are instructions on each packaged meal for the ideal method to reheat your meals.

Typically it is one of two ways:

  • Stove top - slide the items onto a small pan to heat thoroughly or skillet to sauté. Bring your burner to medium heat and stir as necessary until desired warmth is achieved.

  • Microwave - take the lid off the BPA-safe plastic containers and microwave on high in 45second to 1minute intervals, stirring as necessary, until desired warmth is achieved. For broths, do not microwave with metal lid on the glass jars.

How are my meals packaged?

All our broths are delivered in 16oz glass mason jars with metal lids. Meals are served in BPA-safe plastic containers, also microwavable and dishwasher safe. We aim to use recyclable products whenever possible.

Are the packaged meal/broth containers recyclable?

All glass jars along with their metal lids are recyclable. The plastic containers are #5 plastic. Check with your local recycling company to see if they will pick-up #5 curbside. We aim to use recyclable products whenever possible.

Can you reuse our broth jars by refilling them with more broth for the following delivery?

As much as we would love to help recycle our product containers, there are food safety laws within our state, county and city that prevent us from doing so. Instead, please reuse the jars for yourself in storing more food, or maybe get crafty with it, or however they can meet your needs. When they no longer meet your needs, go ahead and place them in your recyclable container to keep the planet happy.
