Curated class topics to facilitate connection + conversation between all parents in gathering
Topics include:
Processing of birth, postpartum + infant feeding experiences
Partner + family communication strategies
Body movement + nervous system regulation practices to incorporate into your parenthood
Guidance in your unique family rhythms; back-to-work strategies, stay-at-home ideas + tips, etc.
Available baby scale to weigh your babe with a certified lactation counselor
Open to all infant feeding choices + safe space to be yourself with support
Best to take once babe is 2-4weeks of age + up to one year old
Beyond Childbirth Education
Bi-monthly Series — $50/each topic or $160/all 4 classes
Course Series Includes:
1.5-hour in-person instruction
Rotation of 4 bi-monthly topics:
Labor Prep + Positioning: Learn doula + physical therapist approved movements + exercises to practice in pregnancy to best prepare the body for labor. We will discuss spinning babies, pelvic floor and core muscle function, and how it all comes together to create space in the body for a smoother labor.
Comfort + Confidence in Labor: Join us in your comfy clothes + be ready to move around with your partner. We will explore techniques to ease the body + brain through movements, actionable list for dads to care for moms well, tools (i.e. hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, massage, etc.) breathing practices, + more.
Labor Recovery + Nutrition: Learn essential postpartum planning as we focus all on the mother + her recovery. We will cover true what is needed for your physical recovery (beyond adult diapers), as well as how to nurture yourself in this vital season. Plus cover top labor + postpartum nutritional recommendations for a smoother recovery.
Breastfeeding 101 + Overcoming Challenges: A great refresher for experienced parents or to add on to your lactation basics education. We'll chat quickly about how milk supply is established, and then get into the nitty-gritty of how life at home may look with breastfeeding and bottle feeding. Learn common challenges + techniques to overcome them, plus when to call in the pros.
Best to start at the end of your second trimester or beginning of your third trimester. Dads/partners are encouraged to attend all classes with mom.
